Jesse Matthews

The Kelowna SCRABBLE® Club officially launched in January 2010. In September 2009 Project Literacy Kelowna invited NASPA Tournament Player Jesse Matthews to participate in a "Beat the Scrabble Champ" booth at their annual International Literacy Day Celebration. Out of it came much interest in starting a Scrabble club in Kelowna, which Jesse is organizing in partnership with Project Literacy Kelowna and the downtown location of the Okanagan Regional Library.

The Kelowna SCRABBLE® Club will resume on Monday January 10th @ 6:30 PM in the conference room at the Okanagan Regional Library's downtown Kelowna location, and thereafter will meet every other Monday. We use the North American SCRABBLE Players Association OWL (Official Tournament and Club Word List) as our dictionary, and each game lasts approximately 1 hour.
